Events: If You Thought Prop 8 Was Bad…

Event Details: If You Thought Prop 8 Was Bad... - :

If you thought Prop 8 was bad….

Imagine the tactics we saw used against us in California reproduced across the country! For years this has been the norm. After Prop 8, anti-equality forces are more motivated than ever to take their message of bigotry to every corner of America. Their latest target? Gainesville, Florida.

The passage of Amendment 2 in Florida and Proposition 8 in California have emboldened anti-equality forces to overturn basic human rights in Gainesville, Florida. A proposed amendment to Gainesville’s city charter would immediately remove human rights protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Help us prevent this from happening! Join Equality, Campus Style and other organizations as we stand up for the full legal rights that we are now closer than ever to achieving. Equality will only be ours if we take responsibility for our own freedom. Join us this Tuesday to safeguard our community!

Details are beyond the fold.
