Event Details: Thursday Dec 18: TNG "Tired of Being Sexy" Party - :

Are you tired of the holidays? Tired of all the consumerism and treacly music and forced togetherness?

The queer Brazilian band CSS is tired of something else. They’re name translates to “tired of being sexy” and at the next TNG party you can learn something from them. We encourage you to say “fuck it” to overly manicured and uncomfortable clothing styles and to come dressed as yourself. Once you do, we’ll be giving away* five sets of tickets to the December 20th CSS show at the 9:30 Club. This could very well be your last chance to unwind before the year’s most stressful holidays begin in earnest.

As always, our parties are coed, trans-inclusive and straight-friendly.

*Keep checking thenewgay.net for information on how to win tickets to the Dec 20 CSS show.

RSVP on Facebook.

Details: Thursday, December 18, Solly’s, 1942 11th St. NW, free, 8 p.m.-12 a.m., 21+.

ewww ewww ewww… you people are so gross. “fuck it” and be who you are? many people’s expression of my their queer selves is about being sexy and feeling confident? one can move beyond these elementary standards of objectification and not need to be told by some hypocritical blog that our fashion expressions are illegitimate.

thanks for making me feel not welcome. maybe next month, you can have a “lose weight and look like the rest of us” party to make everyone with weight issues feel uncomfortable. seriously….gross!

thanks for being old gay as usual.

Sounds great to me. I felt relieved when I read that, as though I had been released from the tyranny of the “fabulous”.

PLEASE have more parties like this. Please encourage a more natural, relaxed approach to nightlife that counters the very stylized and affected vibe of the usual gay night(mare) out.

    Thank you.

You can be tired of anything you want, Anonymous. But like it or not, anyone living in these united states have xmas forced upon us in one way or another. And I’m tired of it!!!
