Event Details: MIXTAPE: Alt-Queer Dance Party on 12/20/08 - :
MIXTAPE is billed as “an alternative dance party for queer guys and gals and their pals.”
On the third Saturday of each month, DJs Matt Bailer and Shea Van Horn spin an eclectic mix of electro, pop, new wave, disco, rock, and everything in between.
And for the past four months, MIXTAPE has hosted its party at Dahlak, an Eritrean restaurant in lower Adams Morgan. This month, it’s gonna squeeze into the small restaurant one more time for a hot ‘n sweaty night of dancing.
Word is that the monthly party will inaugurate a new, bigger venue in January 2009.
