I came out to my parents the day after Thanksgiving, and I think the timing worked out fine. That left two days for soulful talks and long drives, followed by an opportunity to get the hell out of the house and come back to DC.

As for coming out over Thanksgiving dinner — sure it’ll be a mess, but it’ll make a great story.
