Music: SZM Wins the Amy Ray Tickets
Congratulations to our commentor SZM for winning Tuesday’s Amy Ray ticket giveaway. Here was her answer to my question of why a doctor of philosophy would need such a long beard:
The puzzle of why a doctor of philosophy requires a long beard has often vexed me. Furthermore, as a future doctor of philosophy this question has been especially important. That said, I imagine that a doctor of philosophy has such a long beard in order to prove that he is, in fact, a man. It is the masculine equivalent of an a female professor’s “anthropology scarf”. You know what I am talking about.
Props also to Annie, for working so many song lyrics into her answer, and to Chad for going the extra mile with a ridiculously (and adorably) thorough answer. You’re all winners! To me, that is. SZM is still the only one getting the tickets.
