Hi, I’m Amelie, the new TNG women’s organizer. Here are the most important facts about me:

1. I’m part old lady (arthritis, carpal tunnel, and an inexplicable love of finger sandwiches) and part 7-year-old (love of video games, extreme hyperactivity and a love of jumpers).

2. I don’t like seafood, even though I grew up in New Orleans and went to college in Maine.

3. Two of my favorite things are Frasier and mischief. See above photo, where I have probably just spilled on Frasier’s replica of CoCo Chanel’s couch…and I’m probably not that sorry. Did I mention I also have an overactive imagination?

4. I’m throwing TNG’s Apolitical women’s night this Thursday. Why, you may ask? I moved to D.C. about four months ago and noticed there were some pretty noticable voids in the women’s scene. After a chance run-in with Zack and Michael, I learned about TNG. A few months later, Zack mentioned they were thinking about holding a women’s party, and asked if I wanted to be involved in throwing the party, and doing some general marketing work for TNG. The answer was yes, and now we’re here, getting ready to hold the first TNG women’s party. So please, come out on Thursday night for a chance to meet other queer women in a laid-back, no politicking, no grinding environment…just time to have fun!
