Music: Reminder: Pansy Division Documentary at the AFI Silver
Event Details: Reminder: Pansy Division Documentary at the AFI Silver - :
Free Blue Moon! Free Blue Moon! Free Blue Moon!
Now that I have your attention: We wanted to remind you of our Queers Rock night which is happening tomorrow. First we will be screening a documentary called “Pansy Division: Life in A Gay Rock Band.” You can check out the trailer above. Pansy Division is noteable for both being an unapologetically queer rock band and for their dirty songs about sex like “James Bondage.” The movie is really good and worth checking out. It’s screening at the AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring.
We are having an after party around the corner at the Quarry House Tavern which will feature music by queer rock bands. We’re not saying it’s a dance night… but if people want to start dancing we won’t stop them. The best part, though, is that we were just informed that those attending will recieve free Blue Moon beer with their ticket stubs as long as the supplies last.
I fully expect to see all of you there, especially our readers who live in Maryland and have fewer chances to attend our regular parties in The District. To further pique your interest, I will be posting an interview with Pansy Division’s frontman Jon Ginoli tomorrow.
