I’m awfully late getting this out, but it’s going to be a really worthwhile talk, and I figured at least a few TNGers might be able to work this in before attending the Solly’s party tomorrow night. The DC Center, as part of its ongoing Outwrite gay and lesbian reading series, presents Amin Ghaziani, the author of The Dividends of Dissent: How Conflict and Culture Work in Lesbian and Gay Marches on Washington D.C. Ghaziani focuses on how internal dissent within the GLBT community helped shape each march. On a happy note, considering the recent sniping and trash-talking in the comments sections on this very blog, Ghaziani thinks infighting can have positive effects!
Amin Ghaziani appears at The DC Center (1111 14th Street NW, Suite 350) this Thursday, October 16th, at 7 p.m. There’ll be plenty of time to make it up for all the fun at Solly’s right after!
