Event Details: Introducing Mixtape: An Alternative Queer Dance Party - :

We just learned about a new monthly alternative queer dance party called Mixtape. It’s being brought to us by Shea Van Horn (aka Summer Camp, co-founder of Crack) and local DJ Matt Bailer. They’ll be “spinning a mix of electro, pop, old school hip hop, indie, new wave, italo-disco, acid house, and everything in between.” They’ve found an interesting venue for their party: Dahlak, an Eritrean restaurant on the edge of Adams Morgan that hosts occasional bands and DJ nights. It sounds like a blast to me. Now, if only their kitchen stayed open throughout the night…

Check out the event description on Facebook, and join the group to keep in touch with them.

Mixtape. 3rd Saturdays at Dahlak 1771 U Street NW, 10 PM – 3 AM. No cover.

This sounds like a blast and I can’t wait to hear all the great music you guys are going to play. FYI- not everyone is on Facebook so if there is a website or invatation that can be posted on TNG – that would be great
