Local: Out at the Library: Lisa C. Moore

Event Details: Out at the Library: Lisa C. Moore - :

This post was submitted by new contributor Philip Clark.

Lisa C. Moore is an LGBT community treasure. A superb editor with the Lambda Literary Foundation when it was based in Washington D.C. A successful community organizer, running the Fire & Ink writers’ conference for LGBT people of African descent. The noted publisher of Redbone Press, one of the most vibrant small presses alive. When she sleeps is anyone’s guess.

You can see her in action this coming Wednesday, June 11th, when she’ll deliver a talk about the world of black gay and lesbian writing and publishing. She’ll be speaking at 7 p.m. at the Twinbrook Library in Rockville, MD. (202 Meadow Hall Drive, Rockville, MD. 20851). It’s part of the Friends of the Montgomery County Public Library’s Out at the Library series in celebration of gay pride month.

All I can say is, haul your ass to Rockville. This will be good!

Lisa C. Moore, Twinbrook Library in Rockville, MD. 7 PM, Wednesday June 11.
