Politics: I’m Voting Republican
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FiQJ9Xp0xxU&hl=en]
Yesterday, my mother sent me this video about Barack Obama. The rate at which the lies and statements taken out of context are thrown at you is breathtaking. To think that this kind of anti-Obama viral marketing is making its way through the inboxes of the uninformed majority is scary. Why? Because it works. In response, I sent her a polite rebuttal and the video above, entitled “I’m Voting Republican.”
My mother has sent me many chain emails about Obama, asking me for my opinion and whether or not these smears are true. I always respond, but I’m compelled to wonder how many people don’t question what shows up in their inbox, instead taking what they read or watch at face value. I feel defeated sometimes that although personal attacks don’t solve the energy crisis, help unemployment, lower the price of a gallon of milk, prescription drug bills, or health insurance premiums, or stop home forclosure, terrorism, or soldiers from getting killed in an unnecessary war, we still spend our time focused on them instead of the issues.
Flag pin politics and scare tactics only serve to divide people. Smear politics are a “luxury” our country can no longer afford. There are plenty of real issues and policies we can debate, without resorting to made up nonsense. Sadly, there is just over four months until the election, and the Republicans are just getting started.

Michelle Obama is his Baby Mama….
And that ‘dab’ they gave each was terrorist signal….
(Dear Obamas, it’s only going to get worse).
