Australian rock is everywhere! Aussie 80′s devotees The Presets make totally danceable music, which somehow references The Girl From Ipanema while making The Faint look nervously over their shoulders. On top of it all, they traffic in ambiguity. Beside the fact that “the people” in the above song could be the patrons of a gay bar, the duo has been known to teasingly dodge the gay question in interviews and make the occasional homoerotic video. They’re playing the Rock and Roll Hotel this Saturday. Between that and Taint, it’ll be a fun night for oggling guys in skinny jeans.
