Music: Your Monday Upper: I’d Throw a Stick for You.

It’s warm. It’s cold. It’s rainy. It’s sunny. Will the weather make up its goddamn mind? All the fluctuations in temperature are making me a bit loopy, so this week’s Monday upper is a bit loopy too. San Francisco band Deerhoof played at the Black Cat February, 2007, and eccentric was an understatement. I had never heard of them before my friend Brian Porter took me to see the show, but I will never forget their elfen lead singer‘s many expressive hand gestures. I love animation, and I think this unofficial video for the band’s “Kidz are So Small” does the song a lot of justice. And check out that last frame — its a boy!
