Television: Don’t Drop The Soap

I recently posted about bad gay advertising that shows contempt for its target audience by using stylistic methods that are all flash but no substance. It’s only right that I post something that conveys what I consider good advertising, so consider the above video. It has style, erotica, humor, and dramatic tension—all the things that the underwear commercial lacked.

Denim is a very uncomfortable prophylactic. I know this for a fact.

I never understood the whole ‘drop the soap’ urban myth. Can someone tell me _who_ can poke my ass in the 3 seconds it takes to pick up soap? I’ve seen birds do it in flight but I don’t think humans can do it that fast. The whole myth just makes shy guys nervous in the showers.

i actually think this ad is quite offensive. it’s just another example of the homophobic joke that ass fucking is horrible and painful and just something that pervs inflict on young boys. not fun.

and anyway, can’t you just crouch down to pick up the soap instead of bending over and exposing your ass to rape?

All I’m saying is, the bottles that body wash comes in aren’t as slippery as soap–and they don’t dry your skin as much.

I agree with parker. Pure ‘phobia.
