Even More Ways to Waste Time at Work

Let’s face it, if you’re reading TNG regularly you are probably doing some of it at your desk at work. And that’s cool. They can’t expect you to be productive every second of every hour you’re at the office, right? Sometimes you need to decompress between tasks. Sometimes, your insane boss has given you an anxiety attack and you need some humor to make the butterflies in your chest stop. We’ve all been there. That’s why we waste time dicking around online. And that’s why we get so many hits on TNG during the work day.

The TNG Office of Wasting Time at Work has discovered yet another way you can mindlessly piddle away minutes or hours at your desk. If you’ve already read all the great new posts on TNG, cruised through DCist, squinted at BYT, gushed at the LOL Cats sites and Cute Overload, chuckled at Overheard in New York, and skimmed Pollstar for when your new favorite band will be coming into town, there’s yet another new option for you. Om Nom Nom Nom

I discovered this site through a friend and fell in love. So much so that I’ve started seeing monsters eating things in my every day life. It’s like that old tootsie roll commercial, except I’m seeing big beasties gobbling down on stuff. And it’s awesome. I was inspired to create my own while hurrying down the escalator at the Dupont Circle Metro station. (Above.)

So, what else do you do during the day when you have five minutes left and no small projects to work on? How do you relax between tasks and switch gears? Or get warmed up first thing in the morning and accustomed to sitting in front of a photon cannon all day?
