Those who know me well know that I am not much of a “joiner.” I prefer to observe for awhile before engaging new people. I rarely am the first to introduce myself. Furthermore, definitions, labels, and other self-identifiable concepts make me uneasy. It is with this reserved approach that I officially consider myself a contributor to TNG. As a card-carrying sociologist and demographer, I spend most of my days writing about social policy and educational trends. As an escape, I am looking forward to writing about much less serious topics for TNG, such as coffee. As way of background: I am a morning person, an INTJ to the core, and an unapologetic former Midwesterner. Most people know and like my bulldog more than they do me.
