Weekend Preview: Boston Weekend Preview: The Wet Hot Summer Edition

This post was submitted by Carrie

Now I’m aware that the forecast for this weekend is actually quite sunny, but there were times this week when I felt like I might never be dry again and I’m still bitter.  Yes, Mother nature slapped those of us who bitched about the sweltering summer weather with some karma this week and I have to admit that it worked.  After some field work, I’ve decided that I much prefer sweating in the sun.  Standing at the bus stop in ugly boots and soggy pants, waiting for a shuttle bus that occasionally skips my stop in order to send a cinema-worthy splash in my direction is not how I like to begin my mornings…but I digress.

Rain or shine, keep your options open this weekend because there is plenty to do.

Tonight

Friday

  • DJ Leah V hosts the Milk & Honey party at The Good Life tonight.  As an added bonus, mashup party Bootie Boston will also be happening downstairs!  Details: The Good Life. 28 Kingston St., Boston. 9:30pm-2am. $5. 21+.
  • Check out G-Force Fridays at the newly re-opened Club Irge in Haverhill.  Details: Club Irge. 717 Main St., Haverhill. 9pm-1am. 21+.

Saturday

  • The guerrilla lesbians of Night Owl will be descending on an unsuspecting bar tonight.  Check the group’s Facebook page sometime on Friday for the venue location and details.
  • The re-opening of Club Irge means good things for the girls too.  Check out Click Saturdays, a weekly dance night for lesbians presented by Shuttavac ProductionsDetails. Club Irge. 717 Main St., Haverhill. 9pm-1am. 21+.
